Ginza Sushiko Honten

Enjoy the fusion of tradition and innovation at this famous Ginza restaurant

Ginza Sushi Ko Honten is a famous Edo-style sushi restaurant that has been in business for 130 years in Ginza. Now, under the leadership of Mamoru Sugiyama, the fourth-generation owner, the restaurant has continued to innovate while cherishing its traditions, and is patronized by many customers as a pioneering place where they can enjoy the marriage of sushi and wine. In a relaxed atmosphere, we serve carefully selected sushi using the best seasonal ingredients, one by one, with care and attention. We hope you will enjoy the unique taste of our restaurant, where tradition and innovation are in harmony.

Traditional Edomae sushi and the flavors of the four seasons

Since our founding, we have cherished the traditions passed down to us while offering dishes that let you enjoy the harmony of sushi and wine. We offer fresh ingredients that change with the seasons. In particular, carefully selected ingredients such as tuna, star flounder, and shinko (young sardine) caught in the seas near Japan are highly praised by many customers for their reliable quality and distinctive flavors. Please enjoy sushi woven from tradition and innovation along with the seasonal tastes.

The restaurant has a relaxed atmosphere with a Japanese flair and seats 40 people. The white wood-topped counter seats allow diners to watch the sushi chefs at work up close and personal. Private rooms are also available to ensure privacy, allowing you to spend special moments such as business entertainment and important anniversaries in peace.

Edo-mae Sushi, established in 1885, continues the tradition

Since our establishment in 1885 (Meiji 18), we have maintained the tradition of Edo-mae sushi and have been patronized by many customers. Our sushi has been chosen by customers for generations because of our unchanging beliefs and our innovation to meet the needs of the times. Currently, we have three branches, centering on the main Ginza branch, the Marunouchi Building branch, and the Kotsujin Building branch, each of which offers heart-felt hospitality.
